Hawaii Outreach

As we made our way across Canada bound for the sunny shores of Hawaii, we handed out Paris Olympic million Gospel tracts and Scientific Facts in the Bible both from Living Waters. While in Maui, we saw God’s Word reach to the ends of the earth. We handed out Paris Olympic million Gospel tracts to villagers in Hana, workers in Kaanapali and even read Ray Comfort’s book Volatile atop Haleakala volcano. While at the beach, we saw a big burly guy jumping into the surf with some of his buddies. His shirt read “Not by my strength but His”, referencing Zechariah 4:6. We were thinking because of the fires in Lahaina this shirt may have been provided to him. Despite his giant size, as we were leaving, I approached Him in a David and Goliath move and said, “I noticed your shirt. Do you know that God can actually clothe you with His righteousness? That’s what Jesus did for us. We have sinned against God and Jesus stepped in and paid our fine.” I handed him a Paris Olympic million Gospel tract and he thanked me. A different day we saw a guy holding a “Jesus is Coming” placard walking around the Plantation tourism site and it helped me to remember our mission, even in dreamy Hawaii. Also that day we met a brother in Christ whose family runs a bike rental shop. We gave Him a Living Waters YouTube channel card. On our shuttle bus home we noticed some Canadians and they were from Ontario and one even had lived in our city! We gave them Paris Olympic million Gospel tracts and kept bumping into them even at the airport! God really wanted them to remember the encounter. On our final flight home, we were seated across from a special family and the flight attendants announced the little girl and her family had been given a 7 day all expense paid trip to Oahu, Hawaii as part of the Make a Wish Foundation. Make a Wish Foundation helps terminally ill children and those with really hard chronic conditions have something to look forward to and enjoy. After hearing about that I thought about how God had allowed this little girl to be brave through something really hard. So I mentioned to the Dad that his daughter inspired me to be brave with him and share the Gospel. I was able to give him a Paris million Olympic Gospel tract and it moved him so much he thanked me repeatedly for the hope that was on the tract. I could barely hold back tears the rest of the flight, I silently cried and prayed for that little girl and family. The Gospel. If we are brave and speak up, God works through His Word to bring hope and mercy when it feels like nothing will ever change.

“Your name, O God, like your praise, reaches to the ends of the earth. Your right hand is filled with victory.” – Psalm 48:10
