WHAT SCARES YOU? I took my kid for his hair cut and overheard a worker and her client talking in detail about their mutual love for dark, scary shows. They loved to be scared, they loved the psychological mess it did to them as they watched it. We don’t know how dark we are until we hold ourselves up to the light of God’s Word. In Christ’s strength, I walked up to the worker and gave her a gospel tract and said, “You like scary stuff? This is really scary, but can also save your life.” She said, “cool! I’ll check it out on my break.” It’s the moral law and gospel. Deadly to those who turn their backs on a holy God and life giving to those who surrender to His mercy. We deserve eternal hell for our sins against God, but God is rich in mercy and has provided a Saviour to redeem us and save us through the life, death, burial and resurrection of Christ. Please pray for them. It made me think of this verse: “And this is the condemnation: that Light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.” - John 3:19 #gospel #evangelism #christian
