LEAVE RESTORED DOUGIE - Dougie is 23 and came from an hour away to do door to door sales in my area. I brought up the topic of faith and he showed me he had a Scripture screen saver on his tablet talking about making disciples of all nations which initially was encouraging. His passion for evangelism was also what first hit me talking about the church at large being lukewarm. As we chatted I noticed He knew the Scriptures very well, he had many memorized. Things got fuzzy though when he said he had an ex-gang member guy who called him daily asking him to confess his sins and give permission if he could take certain jobs. Dougie said, “I’m glad he didn’t yell at me when I told him this…” Just an FYI, accountability partners aren’t supposed to control you or yell at you. He also shared how if his church told him to go to India he would do it in a heartbeat or give every cent he had, he didn’t care, he wanted to be 100% in for Jesus like the disciples were. I found his passion commendable but the invasiveness of this ex-gang member very controlling and it brought a red flag. Dougie said if he wasn’t with this church he probably would have been a Mormon which was also an odd statement to make showing me a religion was something he was seeking not a restored relationship with Jesus. He asked if I believed we were eternally secure and seemed to talk a bunch about baptism and that he had just had his a few months ago. When he said his church name, Restored Toronto, and that they met at houses and rented spaces, I looked it up after our meeting and it was easy to see he was recruited into the International Christian Church (ICC) cult, they had changed their name to hide their connection. My husband and I were able to share the gospel with him, ask him how we are saved and talk about the reality of original sin and our need for Jesus alone that He is our only mediator and that the Bible is the ultimate authority not the church over it. He also got a Canadian million gospel tract, a Rome & The Bible tract and a tract for sharing with Muslims who he said he knew a lot of in his city. For more on the ICC Resored Church cult, please see our Facebook post. Please pray.
TAMPA FLORIDA OUTREACH - A brother in Christ, Sanjay, from Calgary, Alberta reached out to Testify Cafe for our Canadian gospel tracts for a young adults mission trip from his church to Tampa, Florida. We were encouraged by his report: “One of the guys hearing about Jesus was in the army, came back injured. Lost his wife, lived defeated and depressed which led to homelessness. Decided to give love a chance after 15 years. Fell in love only to have the second woman he loved die too. He was so hurt, but called out to Jesus, trusting to love again. Jose was given a Canadian million dollar tract and was eager to talk with us. After a few minutes he broke down crying for forgiveness from his sins and to trust in God’s love. We had no way of knowing he had been desperate and praying for answers. We also met 2 brothers who were street preaching and they blessed us with allowing us to preach too. We had people gather to hear the good news! At the University of South Florida we had a booth and were sandwiched between two Muslim booths, greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world! We stood our ground and shared truth and grace. One of our fun ways to start a conversation was to ask if the person would sell their eye for 1 million dollars, then give them one of your tracts. It is fun and light before moving to heavier things like the gospel. The tracts were amazing, we gave all 800 out. I will be ordering more soon! Thank you so much for your ministry.” - Sanjay P. What if everything you’ve been taught about salvation was missing something?

Filmed in Italy during the Catholic Jubilee, CORNERSTONE dives into one of the most debated questions in Christianity: Does the Bible alone have authority, or does tradition stand beside it?
Through powerful on-the-ground conversations with theologians, missionaries, Catholics, and former Catholics, this documentary uncovers the historical and theological divide between Scripture and Catholic doctrine.

This isn’t just a discussion—it’s a challenge.

Examine the evidence. Compare it with God’s Word. And decide for yourself what the true gospel is. #gospel #BiblicalAuthority #ChurchAuthority #ChurchHistory #Catholic #Salvation #Christianity #Bible #Faith #Evangelism #Rome #Florence #Italy
DO YOU HAVE THE INCURABLE WOUND? The Apostle Paul writes in Romans 7:24-25, “Who will rescue me from this body of death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord!” Jesus can rescue us from our incurable wound of death. In fact, this was pictured in the Old Testament, in Jeremiah 30:12 where it says, our wound is incurable. He says sin is our incurable sore (Jer. 30:15) and that He will restore us from it (Jer. 30:17). Jeremiah 30:9 states, “But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, Whom I will raise up for them.” This prophetically references to the greater David, Jesus, the Messiah who ultimately brings salvation: “You shall be My people and I will be your God.” Jesus being truly man and truly God knows about suffering personally and chronically. A people who continually grieve His heart by turning from Him and the physical suffering He endured on earth. Jesus walked with us and is aquatinted with our grief and suffering and amazingly God can redeem our suffering by suffering for us and healing our incurable wound of sin. Nothing shall be impossible for God, even what we count as incurable or hopeless. Isaiah 53:5 says, “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.” 1 Peter 2:24 parallels Isaiah’s message by saying, “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.” We have conquered the power of death and sin by Jesus Christ. He has accomplished what we could not. The next time you’re struggling with something that seems hopeless and incurable, look to the cross, where Jesus accomplished what we could not, healing the incurable wound and giving us the hope of restoration as He makes all things new and works it all together for the good of those that love Him. Happy Easter! #jesus #christian #easter #hope #gospel #evangelism
