GOSPEL OUTREACH - Jaskaran is from Punjab in Northern India and is a security guard at the mall. He came to Canada alone in his early twenties and hasn’t seen his parents in 5 years. He works in the dark and alone much of his life. I gave him a World Cup tract and he said he was actually doing security for the games in the stadium this Friday when we’d be at our outreach. He is Sikh and said sacrifice and honour is tremendously important to their culture. I asked him if he had heard of Jesus’ sacrifice. He says yes and it was similar to stories of people who had their head cut off and kept fighting at a golden temple or even today young children aged 7 and 13 who were sacrificed by their parents to die in battle to bring honour to their family. I asked, “don’t you think God paid the ultimate sacrifice though so those others didn’t have to?” He thought they were all the same. He then went on the say he personally has almost been run over and stabbed 4 times. He thinks because he hasn’t seen heaven or hell they can’t exist, that human sacrifice is the purpose of life and that all religions are the same. I said all religions say you have to work your way to God, but Jesus said, “I am the way the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father but by me.” Jesus said He went to the cross to pay a debt we couldn’t pay, our fine for our sins against God. He said he couldn’t accept that because life is all about personal sacrifice and he couldn’t just be humble and trust Jesus but needed to have courage and fight his own battles. I took him through some of the moral law but he couldn’t bring himself to admit that these “mistakes” would determine where he’d end up in the afterlife and said he never dishonoured his parents. GOSPEL OUTREACH - Look who’s with me at mall outreach today. ❤ Today we saw a bunch of familiar faces at the mall who I’ve shared the gospel with over the past year and I got to introduce my amazing husband to those I have met as the Lord had us bump into several. I was also able to give a gospel of John and rose plant to one of our neighbours and share my testimony again which includes the moral law and gospel. We had seen our neighbour running before and she said she was brought to tears that someone would care to share kindness and care about her spiritual health too. Reach out Christian, we love people enough to tell them the truth about our amazing God who instead of leaving us in our sins headed for hell stepped in and paid the fine for us in full. The best news is God’s news given today, not spoken too late. #evangelism #faith #gospel #christian #todayisthedayofsalvation
