Gospel Message
THE MILLION-DOLLAR QUESTION: Will you go to Heaven when you die? Have you lied, stolen, used God’s name in vain, or lusted (which Jesus said was adultery, Mt. 5:28)? If so, God sees you as a liar, thief, blasphemer, and adulterer at heart. If you die in your sins, you will end up in a terrible place called Hell. But there’s good news. Though we broke God’s Law, Jesus paid the fine by dying on the cross: “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (Jn. 3:16). Then Jesus rose from the dead and was seen by hundreds of eyewitnesses. He fulfilled all the prophecies of the promised Savior. Please, today, repent and trust Jesus, and God will forgive you and grant you the gift of eternal life (Eph. 2:8,9). Then, to show your gratitude, read the Bible daily and obey it, join a Christian church, and be baptized.
Hi Friend,
Someone that cares about you must have given you a Gospel tract from Testify Cafe or God has directed you to this website and you were curious to know more about Him. It’s not an accident you’re here and quite a crucial time as your very life is at stake, which we know is very precious.
WHY SHOULD I CARE IF THERE IS A GOD?
The Bible claims there is a Source of all life, the uncreated One who created everything. This Source of life is our Creator. God created you and knows all about you; all your actions, thoughts and intentions of your heart and formed you in your mother’s womb. He also says He knows how to destroy death, which affects 100% of us. Most of us want to know if there is a way to prolong our life and if life itself has purpose, so this can help you do that if you’re an open person.
The magnificent design and patterns found in nature instruct us they were created by an Intelligent Being. God created so we could clearly see there is a Creator. Just the same as we would say a toaster had a maker, we know there is an Intelligent Designer who reveals patterns and purposes through His creation. God Himself exists outside of His creation, outside time and space, He is the Sovereign who holds all things together and the very reason you have breath in your lungs today.
“For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.”
-Romans 1:20
“The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.”
-Psalm 19:1
“Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.”
-Psalm 90:2
The Bible is comprised of sixty-six books, The Old and New Testament that were written by God through men, just as we hold a pen and it helps us write, God inspired these men to record what He wanted to say. The Bible has stood the test of time, culture and translation and fulfilled every prophecy it ever claimed, it is perfectly seamless and without error, which shows its supernatural origin. God has preserved His Word so we can share it and all people will have access to know Him.
IF THERE IS A GOD, DO YOU THINK HE IS ANGRY OR HAPPY WITH YOU?
God’s Word says in Psalm 7:11 “God is angry with the wicked everyday” and Romans 1:18 says, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.” What truth are we trying to cover up? Have we really done anything that bad that we would be trying to hide it from our Creator who can see the very thoughts and intentions of our heart (Hebrews 4:12)? As Creator, God has full authority over His creation and is therefore our Judge. Psalm 139:13 says God “knit us together in our mother’s womb” and Isaiah 33:22 says, “For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; it is he who will save us.”
The first humans, Adam and Eve were in perfect relationship with God and were given one law to keep in the Garden of Eden, they weren’t to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. They broke that law thinking they knew better, setting their own standard of goodness and wanting to be like God, taking the bait of that serpent’s sale’s pitch.
Sin against God is breaking His moral law. He requires perfection and holiness, nothing short of it can stand in His presence and live. It says in Matthew 5:48, “Be perfect, therefore, as your Heavenly Father is perfect” and 1 Peter 1:16 also instructs, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
It would be interesting to see if this Creator’s claims can be confirmed. They can be determined by a few questions below. God has a moral standard called The Ten Commandments that act as a mirror to show us ourselves as God sees us. Be honest as you ask yourself these questions:
- Have you ever lied in your whole life? – The Bible says, “All liars have their part in the lake of fire.” – Revelation 21:8
- Have you ever stolen? Including music off the internet or even time from your boss by arriving late?
- Have you ever used the name of God or Jesus Christ as a bad word? – This is called blasphemy and taking God’s name in vain, giving it no honour. It was punishable by death in the Old Testament. God says “I will not hold him guiltless who takes my name in vain” – Exodus 20:7
- Have you ever looked at someone to lust for them with sexual desire? – “He who looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery in his heart” – Matthew 5:28
If your conscience agrees you have done these things, you’d be a self-admitted liar, thief, adulterer at heart, a blasphemer and you’d be self righteous in thinking you were good when these clearly show there is none good but God (Ref. -Mark 10:18).
You may say, “everyone does these things” to try and justify yourself, but God says in James 2:10, “For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it.“
A summary of the Bible is this: in the Old Testament God tells us He will destroy death, our greatest enemy, and in the New Testament He tells us how He did it. No one has been able to destroy death, so caring about preserving your life should peak your curiosity as to how He could do that especially after understanding your sin has greatly offended Him.
WHAT IS OUR ULTIMATE DILEMMA BEFORE A HOLY GOD?
As humans, we have this incredibly all-powerful Creator and Author of life who is so holy we must be perfect to even stand in His presence. Judgement Day is coming at an hour we don’t expect and our ancestors messed up downloading Original Sin into our very DNA. We too mess up and break God’s moral law daily…we lie, steal music off the internet, blaspheme God’s name by treating it with no honour, we commit adultery in our mind and in deed, we’re greedy, wanting what we don’t have, which is coveting and try and pretend we’re somehow equal to God’s holiness, when really, our standard of goodness has just been lowered to suit our sins. We even try and make our lower standard what we want to be God’s standard, which is idolatry, trying to make a god in our own image, one that is happy with us.
IS THERE HOPE FOR THE SINNER?
Yes, there is hope for the sinner and His name is Jesus Christ, God the Son. Without Him, there would be no hope for those who have sinned against a holy God. In His perfect justice and mercy, God could only fulfill our rescue mission in Himself. There was a requirement of a perfect spotless sacrifice to atone for our sins against a holy God and the love of a Father who desires mercy for us did this for us. God filled a body as Jesus to take on the once for all punishment for our sins now and to come. He was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life and never sinned. He was brutally beaten and hung on a cross for our sins and buried. Three days later Jesus rose from the dead assuring eye witnesses and all who would come to Him by faith that He has conquered the power of death and sin forever in Himself. Now, whosoever turns away from their sins and trusts Jesus’ atonement will be adopted as a child of God and gain eternal life in heaven. The Holy Spirit will be given to you and He will cause you to walk in His ways and desire righteousness instead of sin. Until Christ returns we will fall into sin, but we won’t plan sin. He who is able to save to the uttermost will seal your salvation for you and will forgive you and keep you until Christ returns. Remember, as Christians, we overcome the world through the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. Go to Jesus now and ask Him to reveal Himself to you. If you’d like to share your testimony of how God conquered sin in your life, please email us, we would love to pray for you.
“You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.”
